Digital Art ......Real Art??
hello... i am doing the digital art...real art excersise
QueekyPaint.
My artwork produced using Queeky...
What i liked about this application is that it is easy to use and straight forward and simple. The tool which i found most fascinating on this program is the curve tool which i basically used to create this artwork of curves.
My Art work using art Pad
Art Pad
What i liked about the artpad application is the fact that it is also wasy to use but it does not contain as may tools as queeky provides. The tool which i was most fascinated with is the tool which made the splodges of paint on the canvas. I found it quite fun so i decided to create my artwok based on theat tool using many different colours.
My artwork on Imagination 3
Imagination cubed
What i found interesting about this program is the tool of stamping. I used the stamps of a smiley faces of different sizes, some swirls and a shape to create my artwokk.... Thhis program only has a limitednumber of tools which does not make it my favourite programs but it is also useful.
Definitions of Art
- Art is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations and modes of expression including music, literature, film sculpture and paintings.
- Art is the product of human creativity.
- Art is the creation of beautiful and significant things.
- Art is a skill that you can learn by study, practise and observations.
Many people protest that digital art is in fact not a real form of art but is cheating because anyone can gain access to a program and make art through electronics. In my own opinion digital art is real art as it is still someones creations and is just created on a computer based on the persons views amd morals and concepts of art making. Also with the digital art programs the tools which are used are the same as the ones that are used when creating an artwork physically but they are just more afficient to use. Some Advantages that digital paint an draw programs offer over traditional methods(canvas and paint)are:
Digital Art Artwork
Traditional Canvas and Paint Artwork
- If you have made a mistake when drawing with a digital art program you can simply erase or delete or use the eraser to get rid of unwanted elements.Unlike the traditional canvas and paint idea you would have to start the artwork all over.
- If you are wanting to experiment with tools you can also overlap objects and use handy tools like blur.Unlike the canvas and paint which you would have to only imagine in your head and then draw.
- You can have multple copies of the artwork and it can be save on a computer. Also you can carry the artwork on a storage device such as USB and not carry the canvas around.
- There would be no mess to clean up after painting when using the digital program wher as when creating an artwork using a canvas and paint would create such a hastle in making a workstation.
- Saving more wood which is used to make paper and decrease deforestation so it is also an enviromental friendly when using digital art programs. Also saving paint resources
What skills must a digital artist possess to create greaty digital art?
The skills that a digital artist must possess are:A key skill is :Being able to use the tools to create your art work. But then again you don't really have to possess an paticular skill... the artist can create their artwork through their own themes, morals, beliefs onto the program without having the knowledge on how to use the program but be able to create their own artwork purely based on their instincts.

Colour depth effects both still and video media. While sampling rate only effects video and not still still media. Why is this?
Sampling rate only applies to data that is recorded over rtime e.g video you take 30 photos per second and videos can take samples very often. The still media e.g an image is a sample it self therefore it can't have a sample.
